EVENTS AROUND THE TRIANGLE

What’s Happening in Raleigh and the Triangle

Festivals, concerts, markets and family days across Raleigh and the Triangle, kept current by a Raleigh native who actually knows. Start with this weekend’s picks, browse the full calendar below, or jump straight to your town.

THIS WEEKEND

This Weekend’s Picks

Updated Monday, October 5, 2026. Refreshed every week when the weekend post goes out.

  • Fall for Five Points, Five Points in Raleigh, Saturday, October 10, 11am to 6pm. Free. Live music, local artists, food trucks and a kids zone in one of my favorite neighborhoods.
  • Hum Sub Diwali, Koka Booth Amphitheatre in Cary, Saturday, October 10, 9am to 9pm. Free admission, $10 parking. Dance, food, a bazaar and fireworks to finish.
  • A Taste of Greece, St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church in Durham, Saturday and Sunday, October 10 and 11, 11am to 7pm. Free entry. Go hungry, and save room for the baklava.
  • Mighty Giveback, Lincoln Theatre outdoor stage, Saturday, October 10, 5 to 11pm. JJ Grey & Mofro headline a benefit concert, so the ticket does some good too.
  • Coming up: the NC State Fair runs October 15 to 25. Dates, hours, tickets and parking are all in the guide.

South of town? I keep a separate page for things to do in Fuquay-Varina this weekend.
