Celebrate Independence Day with the Town of Apex’s Olde Fashioned Fourth of July! On Friday, July 4, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, downtown Apex transforms into a festive family fun zone. The day starts with a flag-raising and mayor’s speech at 9:00 AM, followed by inflatables, a giant slide, face painting, karaoke, carnival games, and roving performers. Around 11:30 AM, kids can decorate their bikes, wagons, tricycles, and more in red, white, and blue for the lively “Parade of Wheels,” beginning at Salem & Chatham at noon. Right after the parade, the Apex Fire Department cools things off with a fun splash-down—so don’t forget your towel! Enjoy delicious eats from food trucks like Bobasaur, Cream & Sugar, D & J Concessions, and Stick Happens. Downtown streets close from 6:00 AM to 2:00 PM, but parking is walkable and the event is rain-or-shine (though severe weather may cancel). Admission is free, no pets allowed, and the town may capture photos and video. It’s a classic, all-ages celebration full of tradition, community, and holiday spirit!
