Triangle Voices
Share the Local Story Only You Can Tell
Tell us what you are building, noticing, or changing around the Triangle. If it is a fit, your story could become a thoughtfully written feature on The Raleigh Local.
A Feature, Not an Open Blog
The Raleigh Local is not an open blog or a place to submit finished articles for publication. It is a guide to the people, businesses, events, and ideas that make Raleigh and the surrounding Triangle worth paying attention to. To keep every story clear, useful, and recognizably The Raleigh Local, features are created through guided interviews rather than guest posts. You answer thoughtful questions in your own words, and we shape those answers into a Triangle Voices feature with a consistent editorial voice. The result is a real local story, not a directory listing, press release, or copy-and-paste promotion.

A few things to know
You bring the story. We shape the feature.
Every Triangle Voices feature is published in The Raleigh Local’s voice. That means we write the headline and introduction, select the photos that best support the story, and decide whether a submission is the right fit for the site.
If we move forward, we may edit your answers for length, clarity, and flow so readers can easily understand what you do and why it matters locally. We will not change your meaning, put words in your mouth, or turn your story into an ad.
We also decide when a feature runs, so please submit an idea you’re comfortable sharing on our editorial timeline.
Questions before you submit?
Here’s what to expect from the guided interview, the editorial process, and publication on The Raleigh Local.
How long does it take to hear back?
We read every submission, but we reply only to the ideas we’re moving forward with. Because features are published in limited batches, there is no guaranteed response timeline.
How often do you publish Triangle Voices features?
We publish a few Triangle Voices features each month. The schedule depends on the stories in the queue, local timing, and editorial fit.
Will my feature be published if I submit the interview?
Submitting the form is not a promise of publication. The Raleigh Local decides which stories fit the audience, what angle makes sense, and whether the piece will run.
Who writes the headline and introduction?
The Raleigh Local writes both. This helps each feature feel consistent with the site while giving readers a clear reason to care about your story.
Can you edit my answers?
Yes. We may edit for length, clarity, grammar, and readability, but we will preserve the meaning of what you shared. We are not looking to rewrite your experience or make claims you did not make.
Do I get paid for being featured?
No. Triangle Voices features are unpaid editorial features. There is no fee to submit, no payment for participation, and no charge if your story is selected.
Is this the same as sponsorship or advertising?
No. A Triangle Voices feature is an editorial decision, not a paid placement. If your goal is promotional visibility for your business, learn more about brand partnerships.
Can an agency submit a story for a client?
No. These features are meant to come directly from the person, business owner, organizer, or neighbor with the story to tell. We do not accept agency-submitted pitches on behalf of clients.
Can I send a finished article instead?
Not for Triangle Voices. Rather than publishing prewritten articles, we use the guided interview to gather your perspective and create a feature that fits The Raleigh Local’s editorial style.
Got a Triangle story worth sharing?
Grab a coffee, set aside about twenty minutes, and tell us what you’re building, solving, celebrating, or helping people discover. Submit your idea for consideration, and if it’s a fit, it could become a Triangle Voices feature on The Raleigh Local.
